Return to Rae Lakes Loop 🏕️

Sep 08, 2022

I returned again this year to hike Rae Lakes Loop, this time with my dad. It started off with dificult conditions; we started in the middle of a heat wave with a summer storm on the way. The first day was hot, but fortunately we started early. The next day had rain in the afternoon, and it would rain throughout the night. On this day my phone broke, and we were not able to take any more pictures.

On the third day, the day we were suppose to cross the highest point of the hike, there was such severe lightning storms we had to turn back a couple hundred feet from the top of the Glenn Pass. Then we had a long hike home in non-stop rain.
